Cabinetmakers: Take On More Projects, Outsource Production
Heading into the “busy” time of year (it’s only how many weeks until Christmas?!), many cabinetmaking businesses find themselves with one of two problems: too much work or not enough work.
Whether you’re a newly established cabinetmaking company or you’ve been around for a while, this time of year can be tricky to manage.
Fortunately, there are a few simple things you can do to help see you through the silly season:
Build a Business Toolbox:
This will contain the basic essentials for managing and growing your business. It needs to include a detailed business and marketing plan, reliable accounting software and a detailed employee manual (vital tools for keeping jobs on track and profitable).
Improve Social Media Tactics:
Many small businesses view social media as a way to advertise, but really it is more about marketing. Rather than flooding your feeds with ads for your business, try and share useful content that shows you know what you’re talking about when it comes to your trade.
Outsourcing is a fantastic way to grow your business and meet tight deadlines without breaking your budget. Rather than having to invest in a bigger factory, specialised machinery and high-tech software, you can simply supply a trusted third-party with a layout and dimensions and they’ll take care of the rest.
What Are the Benefits of Outsourcing Production?
Manufacturing custom cabinetry requires a good deal of space and the right equipment. By outsourcing production, you can keep your company overheads low while still expanding your business. This means you can:
- Take on more projects
- Increase your profit margin
- Meet tight deadlines
The key is to partner with a company that has the experience, skills and equipment necessary to ensure the finished product will meet your own high standards.
Why Use McColl Cabinetmakers to Outsource Production?
McColl Cabinets have over 25 years of industry experience, specialising in high-quality custom cabinetry. We have an extremely automated workshop that includes CNC capabilities and modern corner rounding edge bander, allowing us to efficiently manufacture superior cabinetry that is ready to install.
This includes all brands and products that are currently available in melamine, laminate, vinyl and 2pack painted finishes.
So, how does outsourcing to McColl Cabinetmakers work? It’s very simple. All you need to do is supply us with a sketched layout and dimensions so that we can provide a quote (which you will receive within 48 hours – minimum order quantity of $1,000).
You’ll then be able to select from our list of available colours and materials and we’ll complete working drawings for your final approval. Once approved, we’ll manufacture, assemble and deliver your cabinets to the job site – all you need to do is meet us there and complete the installation.
Simple, effective and reliable.
