How can I minimise mess during the construction project?

While the McColl construction team will always take time to clean up after themselves, there will always be a certain (inevitable) amount of dust that gets into things (particularly during the demolition phase). But there are things you can do to minimise the mess. Start by removing anything that you can from the construction area and adjacent living space. If your linen is stored near the work zone, it’s a good idea to empty everything out prior to work commencing – that way, you won’t have to worry about washing dusty sheets and towels. It’s also helpful to wrap furniture in protective sheeting, as this will prevent them from getting unduly dusty.

We are Registered Building Practitioners (QBCC Licence No: 61004) and members of the Housing Industry Association (HIA), which is the major industry association for cabinetmakers and builders in Australia.

How long does it take to do the renovation of my bathroom?

You can expect your average bathroom remodeling project to be completed in two to four weeks. The completion timeframe does depend on how big and complicated the renovation is, the time of year you book in and any lead time required on custom or imported finishes. How do I create a bathroom renovation budget that works for me without sacrificing what I want?

To establish the budget that works for you, we encourage you to work with our team during the pre-planning stage to discuss your overall design idea and budget. This gives you and our team the right grounds to launch a bathroom renovation project for you without unnecessary stress on your end. As a best practice, we also encourage customers to allow for a 10% buffer on top of their overall budget to cover unexpected expenses, such as finding rotted timber during the demolition process, for example.

Is changing the existing layout during a bathroom renovation allowed when I work with your team?

Yes, it is definitely allowed!
